Bruiser
My guess is DB will be down but not enough to matter in conference. Playoffs may be unfriendly but they always are. What about TH?
THSVikings2004
As long as they maintain last year's offense the Vikes should be quite a bit better on offense. Defense is still up for debate but they have been below average for the last three years so losing a lot of starters on that side of the ball might not be that detrimental although I believe they were at their best when they were playing Boone and Mo'West. Offense: QB Henley RB Brooks ? WR Mitchell WR Daggs WR Bunch OL Pendelton OL Sampson OL Frye ?? K ?? Defense DL Gibson DL Edwards CB Gibson ?? CB/S Mitchell CB Bunche or Daggs??? THSFather
Just my three cents worth...........I am looking forward to the season. It will be the first season in a long time that I do not have a child in the game, but I am still a Viking through and through. I am rather pleased that THS new coach is Mike Mays, who has long been the defensive coordinatior for the Vikings. Although 28 Seniors were lost to graduation last year, there is no doubt that Mays teaches the game well enough that THS should at a minimum have a good defense. The offense has plenty of weapons, including upcoming seniors Peyton Henley at QB, and Adam Mitchell at Wide Out, both were 1st team all conference last year and set plenty of records with an in in air assault. In addition, upcoming junior Christian Gibson will be on the other side at wide out, and he earned his stripes last year. Double threat at receiver for the Vikings. Two really good tailbacks also in Jamil Daggs and Sir Scheff. The big question is, will the O Line hold up? Most of them graduated from last year, but a couple of returning starters. Eitherway, it looks to be a good season. I do have a concern about the QB, as he did take an injury last year, and does not (to my knowledge) have a quality back up. Either way, let the games begin. And remember, Defense wins games..........Offense sells tickets. GO VIKINGS!

THSFather
Upcoming Sophomore that lettered Varsity as a Freshman. Big kid, strong and fast. And yes, his first name is "Sir". By the way, this past years Freshman class went undefeated, and they will be a fine supplement to the returning upperclassmen.

THSFather
By the way, I assume you graduated in 2004 based upon your name. I am an '83 edition myself.
THSFather
Wing.......Thank you Sir. I just enjoy football, and I don't get into the BS of name calling or anything like that. It is just good to have public discussion without all that nonsense. I am an old Viking, and my children are now post graduation, no longer playing.............but I still love the game. Looking forward to seeing them play this year, although it will be different as I no longer have a dog in the fight.........so to speak. GO VIKINGS!
