Construction has begun on the renovation of Dyersburg High Schools JC Sawyers Stadium, all part of a 10 million dollar campus update.

Right now, crews are removing the sod and preparing the field for the installation of synthetic grass (aka field turf); should be ready before season begins.

At the end of the season, construction will begin on the new home bleacher seating area, along with a two story brick cantilevered press box, new parking and new entrances, jumbotron score board, and other aesthetic make overs.

All improvements should be completed before the 2014 season. If you have a Facebook account, login and click this link to see construction photos https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=468419126567380&set=a.289568411119120.67213.237220413020587&type=1&theater
