And just selected in the third round, pick #77, Memphis University LHP Sam Moll by the Colorado Rockies

Tullahoma's RHP Jordan Sheffield drafted in 13th round to the Boston RedSox despite only throwing in one game for 3 innings. Also had season ending Tommy John surgery. WOW!

With the 1090th pick in the 36th round of the MLB draft, the Texas Rangers selected former Sequatchie County High School pitcher Dakota Hudson (6'5, 200) Right handed.

 

He has signed with Mississippi State.

I have heard that some teams like that a pitcher has already had TJ surgery and gotten it out of the way with the way pitchers have come back even stronger than before as of late when having it.

Very few high school players drafted this year. What happened to Will Haynie, as it was my understanding that he was being viewed as a top 5 round selection?

Hudson had discussions with Rangers even in the third round but it didnt work out. He is going to a great program at Miss State and some of their fans expect him to make an impact right away. It seems like the new draft policies affected prospect who were already signed with ncaa division one schools.

Yep Will was called for a 3rd round pick and turned down the money offered
