Great tournament for Chris as he finishes 2nd in the nation at Cadet Greco-Roman 120. Outstanding tournament and now he turns around to focus on freestyle.

Murphy loses to Quentin Hovis of Arizona 0-8. Good tournament for Michael where he brings home his 2nd Cadet Greco All-American award by finishing 4th at Cadet 106.

Ah, were you looking at the state results or weight results? Those will always show the "guaranteed place" which is the lowest the wrestler can finish.

ghouse - I was reading the "final results" tab, it did read the match has not been wrestled and had Murphy finishing 4th, so I think you explained it as the lowest guaranteed place. I thought that the 106ers would have finished up before the 120's.

Yeah it was a little odd. They had one more match to wrestle at 106 right before the finals started to determine the 2nd finalist. Due to the minimum rest times they pushed the 106 medal matches to wrestle after 138. Hence the odd order.

 

Sadly, not as much to watch tomorrow (unless you are a junky like me) since there are no Juniors from TN doing Greco. The excitement will start over again for our Cadets on Wednesday.

Yeah G, hard to believe not one entry into the Greco for Jr from TN or even a girl into the Womens Cadet or Junior levels.
