Oliver just put a 12-0 beating on Pertil from PA. Pertil was 7-1 at the JR duals with only lose coming 5-3 to national placer Trout of Nebraska.

 

Very good win for Oliver.

I have been told that David Scott (Hillwood) & Brian Dunning (Hillwood) were All-Americans when it was USWF. The tournament was in Iowa City in the 70's.

Congrats go out to Trey Chalifoux who has earned All-American honors at this point. The undefeated wrestlers in his bracket took care of business and he rode the bye into AA status.

 

He is now one of four left in his pool but is the only one with a lose. he will wrestle Quentin Hovis of Arizona next.

Murphy and West did have an exciting match with Murphy coming out on top.

 

Murphy's pool is down to five with 2 undefeated (Muprhy and Muller) and 3 on a lose. At least 1 will go out next round so Murphy is guaranteed to place as well.

That was a heck of a match with Murphy fighting off his back at the end of the first. Showed a lot of heart and dominated the second. Two TN AAs at the same weight and in DII. It will be fun to watch them battle the next 3 years. Has Murphy wrestled Meuller before? He is one tough hombre.

Mueller beat Murphy at Southeast Prep Slam... think it was a major.

Murphy dominated to win again. Chalifoux lost a heartbreaker 13-12.
