We will see Friday..central will be playing them in the jamboree

Well I guess we saw! I can't believe they are running a spread offense.  I am not sure I get that at all.  I saw some possitive play calling from time to time, but they could not get the job done when it come down to it. Deffense was weak.  I'm telling you it will tell the tell when they play Sweetwater.  If they don't beat them it is going to be a heck of a long season.

What kinda experience do you guys bring back this year? What type offense and defensive schemes do you guys run?

There are a few experienced players.  One good one (Wilson) is hurt.  Not sure if he will be back or not this season.  The coaching staff well I am not sure how experienced they are.  You can have a group of good athletic boys but if you don't have knowledge on how to coach them and finish....then I am not sure things will be much different than last year.  I don't know what has happen since 1996 or who is to blame but Meigs County's football program has really went down hill.

Meigs will be okay in their division.  It will come together soon.  In am hoping for good things f or this team.

Their division is one of the toughest in the state!GCA,Greenback,Rockwood alone could put Meigs in fourth place. They will have as tough a time in 1a-2a as the have in the past division.

Meigs line was not good at all.  Central ran through them like bad sushi! quarter back did not look bad when he was not running for his life.    spread may be a good option if qb can rid of it within 2 seconds. there was a few plays on screen and swing passes that were dropped but one screen and 2 slants were the only positive plays they had in the jamboree.  I am biased but i think central has a good d line but meigs needs some help up front.

I don't understand why Meigs chose to go to the Knoxville district with Grace Christian (probably best team in the state in 2a playoffs this year and seems to be re-loading every year and poised to be a long-time powerhouse).  Rockwood is always good as well.  In the Chattanooga district, Boyd is a perennial powerhouse, but besides them there is a big drop-off historically.  Silverdale was a top 10 team last year and should be this year as well, but they are very senior laden this year, so there should be a big drop off next year for SBA.  Meigs would at least have a good shot at 2nd place (and the automatic playoff birth) just about every year after this year, while they probably don't have a chance in the Knoxville district unless something drastic happens.  Just my 2 cents...

Football fan, what are you talking about? Meigs doesn't chose where they go, tssaa determines that. You think they would chose that district. Wow
