VballBruins
In The semi's Brentwood beat Immaculate Heart Academy (New Jersey),and Ravenwood beat Blessed Trinity (Georgia) Ravenwood then beat Brentwood in a match that went 3. Brentwood JV won the JV tournament with a awesome 3 game match against Siegel.
knightsfan
both Hume-Fogg and South sullivan made it to final 8, where Hume-Fogg lost to Brentwood 25-19, 25-19. and had beat Centennial in 2 sets before that 31-29, and i believe 26-24. and Sullivan South lost to Ravenwood, but I don't know what the set scores were. knightsfan
Would love to know the final results in BIVT. In gold play Sullivan south list to ravenwood in the quarterfinals. Ravenwood was to play blessed trinity of Georgia in semifinals. Looks like it was Brentwood (beat Hume fogg I think) in other semis against Houston or another team I didn't know. Hume-Fogg lost to Immaculate Heart in pool play earlier in day in 3 sets so had to get by Centennial and did in very close straight sets and then lost to Brentwood in quarterfinals. EBTHER
Congrats to CAK for a big win against Farragut tonight.
bigbluevolley
Good win for CAK. FHS cruises to the sub state but not sure what happens after that. It seems to me that the trend shows good coaching beats FHS. By good coaching I mean coaches that recognize opposing teams weaknesses and exploits it. I can't tell you if that's what happen but I'm sure someone can. EBTHER???
orcat
Big Blue when did you get so negative? All area coaching can't be that bad. Is there anything good about area volleyball?
EBTHER
I wasnt at the game but from what i hear CAK was just a bit off. No great hitting and the sets were a little off as well but they must have done something right to win. Not sure if it was a coaching battle as much as it was talent vs talent and who just wanted it most. Farragut and CAK have a lot of players that play together at K2 so im sure it was fun to watch. They beat us at their house and we beat them at ours.
bigbluevolley
ORCAT...I said good coaching beats FHS. FHS has lost to 3 local teams in Knoxville therefore there is some good coaching in our area and some not so good.
