Beech won and Hurd is a stud but honestly I came away from this game more impressed with Station Camp. Either they are light years better or Beech isn't anywhere as good as they were last year. I have to believe Beech is still an elite team so it has to be that SC is leaps and bounds better.

The game was soo good with the supposed winner winning it almost looked scripted. Especially that 3rd and 1 call with Malone not getting the ball. The Malone reciever was also a beast out there today as well. Not saying it was set up but it sure played the part of a made for tv event. Made Sumner Co as well as TN look pretty darn good.

The juniors and seniors for SC were undefeated 2 years in a row as freshman so not surprised they have a good team. Beech lost a lot of players from last year's not as good as good on defense. For those not aware Tre Malone transferred from Gallatin to SC right before practice started last year. As far as Gallatin being jealous they just go look in the trophy case and see all those state championships. SC played well today but their best ever finish was the quarter finals when they were a 4-a team.

I had my suspicions about the Malones being possible Gallatin players. The Malone running back was the difference in keeping the game close. I also thought Beech didn't use Hurd till they had to.

Sorry this will start another debate but still think BJ ends up moving him from rb

 

If he was going to a school loaded w/ backs (including atleast 1 power back) I might agree, but Tenn needs both a good back to include a good power runner, couple that w/ his speed, Hurd will get more than a fair shake at RB.....

I also believe SC was a lot better then most people thought and it will show this season, I am not sure of their schedule but I dont see them losing more than 1 more in the regular season and possibly winning out.....

Think Beech is not as good as last years team and SC improved ( very impressed with SC QB )

Also think Beech will be in alot of high scoring Shootout type games this year

Maybe someone at the game whom was watching the war of the trenches can chime in but on TV it looked like the 3 Beech running backs were 4-6 yards past the LOS before being touched by any SC defender

Props to JH for a great game and for when he plowed that cameraman over , you can tell he is fine young man when he went back to check up on him

Watching JH play D had some good pops, but missed more then a few tackles and was slow to react to some of the passes ....
