Sunbright has been putting up big numbers. Competition may have been a tad on the weak side though. Coalfield ran thru a bad Copper Basin team kike caster oil through a goose. They got it handed to them very handidly against 4A power Knox Catholic. Coalfield is a great team it is just to much for a small 1A team to compete with the big boys. My hats off to them for trying. Most 1A teams wouldn't even consider such a game. Sunbright and Coalfield both seem to have escaped any major injuries the 1st 2 weeks. I believe it will be a great game Sunbright has a great offense but defensively their games tend to be shoot outs. Coalfield has a top notch offense and a stubborn defense when playing against 1A and 2A teams. I love the Tigers and want them to win but I believe the Jackets will sting the tigers and get back to their winning ways. Im rooting for the Tigers. Here's hoping for a clean, safe game!!

Would not be a good time to face the Jackets(I don't know if there is a good time)!Jackets roll all over Sbright.

I agree SB had a good ball team this year. And after how bad coalfield got beat Friday, it's hard to tell how good they really are. I still think they're a great team and this is a bad week for anyone to be playing the Jackets. Jackets by at least 28.

Friday doesn't change a thing. Coalfield is a force this year, like I've been saying, 1A gold is theirs to lose.

34 how did your boy do?I would not have had the man parts to play him against KCHS just for the fact of having a shoulder injury and him being so important to your team.Hope he stays healthy!

He did as well as could be expected...he started on offense but they held him out on defense...he ended up with 85 yards on 15 carries...only played the first half and one possession of the second half before they put reserves in the game...thanks, we all hope he stays healthy the rest of the year...

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
