landers vs Rangers

Let me say this one time. To be very clear about this. If any of the teams remotely play a close game with Midway then they aren't very good. Midway isn't a good team. They beat Whitwell 53-50 earlier in the season. I would hope this Cloudland team is much better than Midway.

          I'm with you Ambassador. No disrespect to Midway,but I highly doubt they are near the better teams in 1a.

You can't go by last year orngnblk. Cloudland is not the same team. The boys in the line have turned into men. If there is one big improvement, its our defense. Offensively, we've made big strides over the last couple weeks. I'm not saying our boys are as good as greenback but several have made the mistake of underestimating the landers

 And Greenback is starting to look like a beast.I raised my eyebrows after last week.If Cloudland can't win it,I'm pulling for the Kee's.

That's a fact,I have been around a lot of football and I believe you play each week like its for the gold ball.I am just a little stifled with Cloudland I acnnot get any feel for this team,the teams the Landers have played are just not very good(please no disrespect intended)I wish they played an Oneida or even a Tellico or something just to get a gauge on them.Hampton played Oneida and got handled I do think CHS is better than Hampton but rivalry games you can throw that out the window.This district we are in is brutal almost every week so you know basically who's who in our league.You all at sometime will get one of us at your house more than likely so I guess we will find out down the road.I'm still not sure how good this Cherokee team is,however I think I will know a lot more Fri morn,I just hope I'm surprised in a good way.As always good luck to the Landers and Bulldogs!

I agree. We have not played any powerhouses. We all thought that johnson co would be as good or better than the landers but we kicked their butt. Could've hung 50 plus on them.

Just a thought. I w ish our local teams could challenge each other every week like we do in basketball. Both these teams playing tomorrow night could have made the state title game on the hardwood

If the Landers can stay away from the big injuries then they have a great chance going deep in the playoffs. Not many schools are very deep on the bench. Hard to play so hard week in and week out without some injuries. Wish them well!

        The way the playoffs are done anymore,you don't have a clue whose gonna be in you're quad.The 2 best looking teams in the East looks like SP and Greenback. As a Lander fan ,you would hope ,Midway ,Harriman and Sunbrite all gets in.Coalfield is going through some tough times and now they look beatable. Its really got to do with the injury thing and who you draw. The way things stand.I can see Cloudland winning the 1st  two and hosting the 3rd round game. And as the old saying goes, on any given Friday night.

      Everyone knows the playoff system has major flaws, seems like the best teams get punished  for having a tough schedule. But in Cloudlands case,they did the right thing for themselves,this will be the 1st year in quite some time that they actually make some money at the gate. I can remember the time when most of these schools dropped Cloudland and they had a hard time picking up games. When a small school has alot of success,it gets really hard trying to get a schedule.
