Hey Pudding, figured out who I am ( "hard to miss that guy" )??? It would be interesting to know how that came about. While I am a man of larger than average proportion (6'3"-300lb) I'm fairly low key and don't think I'm too noticeable. Just curious.

It definitely is good to hear from you Comp!

Hey RebRaider85.  I hope you didnt take that the wrong way.  I'm just a wee little fella so to me you look to be about 6'9", if I have this correct.  Well, if you can read between the lines, I overheard a couple guys at a South game talking and arguing over some random things... who ran the best 40, who could throw the best curveball, who could play roundball and for the craziest coach, etc.  They may have mentioned a few things that are evident in your name on here and may have alluded to you.  They argued about everything, right down to who had the best ball boy on Friday nights.  When I left them I think they were arguing over who is the fastest, the Flash or Superman.

Then again, we could have you confused with another RebRaider.  It's fun to guess though, since I don't know a soul on here except those in the past that have mentioned their kids, like Comp.

Boone does indeed have good concessions.    Freshly grilled hamburgers, you can smell them cooking all over Gray, Mmmmmmmm.     And don't forget the weekly white styrofoam cup signs on the fence facing 75.     Last week's was a classic vs. Volunteer (Miss Kay's Diner: Roast Falcon: Happy, Happy, Happy).      Oh yeah, while you're getting your hamburger @ the concession stand be sure to order a shot of Booneshine.     Don't worry, it's legal and it won't hurt you.

Looking forward to a great game this Fri

I think JJ been giving our coaches too much of that Booneshine our last couple trips over there. I think it was all pre-game too.

Didn't take it wrong at all. Actually thought it was funny because I don't tend to be real loud. That wasn't me but I'm not hard to find. I don't do this every week but I sometimes help out with the band equipment crew. I'm the only one wearing the tie-dyed Eq. Crew T-shirt that wears a "Rebels Football" hat. Every one else wears a band hat.

Good to hear from you Comp. Maybe the devil train will reappear the week of the Elizabethton game? Alas , I miss the days of Science Hill and Dobyns-Bennett scheduling even if we were coming up short. They were good measuring sticks. Maybe ole Batmast is converting me. Anyway looks like Sam has figured out Stacy's and Graham's formula for success. 68 points is nothing to sneeze at.

Well I reckon you have remained faithful to the cause of these Rebels. You're to be commended. I saw the first game and that's it. I hope to see this one. Elizabethton? Well, I reckon the Devil Train could make a stop there...seein' as how them Carter Countians feel they own this here domain these days. And I rekkon' a Souther haint askerred a no leetle wind storm called a Cyclone noways. Wy Hades, a leetle wind nerr hurt nobody noways. I rekkon they're a skerred already. What with the way we took their hogs and such.

Well, enough of that. We will ponder on Boone for now and make sure we take care o' business. Rebel Nation

Well, I had you pegged wrong, but if I am able to see South again this year, I will certainly see if I can pick you out of the line up.  HA!

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
