East beat Melrose 35 - 26 this past Friday. Whitehaven lost to Sacred Heart-Griffin 49 - 27 this past Saturday. This is a district game that has seeding implications. East's victory over Melrose went a long way towards seeding in the playoffs in 5A. District 16 is shaping up to be pretty competitive across the board. How do we think this game will play out?

East has always been big up front. But that's it, never have posed a threat to us. Even when they had kimbrow, we still beat them by 50....we should come back with a hard statement. Just because an outta state team beat us, don't mean an instate team will.....we will close out the year on top! These guys aren't use to losing, and not about to start.....

Plain and simple we need to come out with the mindset to dominate. Hopefully that humble pie we had last week will help us refocus on the task at hand. Coach should put extra emphasis on starting off strong. This East team is no slouch and should not b taken lightly. Home field advantage and pounding the rock should b our main focus. I'm glad we have a good passing game now but we must assert ourselves up front and dominate on the line and run the ball.

This is a really big game. East is currently 5-2, with both losses being district losses to Central and White Station. Both of those programs are 6A. East's next three games are Whitehaven, Ridgeway, and Hamilton. They had a bye last week just like Whitehaven. This is going to be a knock down, drag-out type of game.

Not to mention a shoot out. This is both on the field and in the stands.

How are we looking on the health front? I'm curious to know how Terrigon is doing. If I remember correctly, I remember the commentator for the SHG game saying something about they thought that the WHS coaches were concerened if 'T' had sustaiined a concussion because of the things they saw the staff doing with him on the sideline. I don't remember seeing him play anymore after that comment was made. I hope we got some guys healed and ready to go with last week's bye.
