another great win for the Lady Fighting Irish over arch rival CCS :thumb: ...hopefully the girls can continue with the intensity of play that they showed last night into the sectional championship tomorrow ....2 District & Regional Championships in a row...not too shabby for a team w/ 1 senior playing

They won't need to be that intense against little 'ol Grace.  Probably an easy game for the mighty Lady Shamrocks.  You should encourage them to celebrate their District and Region Championships Friday night (even later than normal since it's Fall Break) and then relax watching college football all day Saturday (lots of rootBEER and Pizza) until game time...

I have not seen Grace play, but certainly sounds like they are a team to be reckoned with....ND has the capablility this year to do well against Grace, but can also be a little sluggish (Reference Central Magnet Game)...Hate to miss it, since I want to see Grace play...Good Luck to both teams.....Maybe your girls and ours can get together for a late night sleepover tonight and talk game strategies as well to all hours of the night...should level the playing field... :geek:

Sorry you'll miss it CHAMP but wish your son the best in his regatta.  Don't know about the sleepover but I may need to come by Champy's before the game to hang with Booger and co.  Even if ya are Cat-licks...you all seem like a fun bunch...and thank God this ain't Northern Ireland.

Not sure G...When was the last time they were in same division?

Notre Dame only lost 2-1 versus Knox Catholic in regular season...and I am pretty sure ND has improved since then...

D

They were in the division for several years (I think 2006-2008 maybe).  I remember they played in the boys state tournament in 2006 because ND knocked off Catholic in the quarter finals.

Depending on the drawl (and assuming both teams go through) it would be a really good finals match up.

It would be a good match-up G......one or the other will likely have to get past CAK who won't be the least bit intimidated by the atmostphere of the tournament.  My guess is ND will see them since KC is from the same district.  I don't know if they separate district teams at the state like they do in Basketball?

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
