This is like during an election. Tell the other party that voting is the day after the actual date and you might win by default. Somehow I think OR is going to show up and will be ready to play. There are so many variables that could happen that it's hard to even comment on how the game will go. I for one am going to just show up confident but not arrogant and hope the Mavs bring it![/quote

 

That is a good attitude. AC coaches are good at making adustments. This is one game they will have to make continual adjustments and mix up and keepem guessing all night..

I dont think I have ever watched a game there from the home side it should be interesting. Space if you hear somebody from the otherside hollering wait to next year its not oakridge it will be me lol

Thats the thing no one but AC fans and very few others are pulling for AC. AC is going to be ready....

AC couldn't beat OR even when AC had the state's record breaking passer. What makes you think you can beat them this year? I believe OR has a mental advantage over AC. Plus, beating OR at The Ship is no easy feat.

AC was too one dimensional, that is why we even had the state record passer over that 2 year span, plus I do not think anyone can argued that those 2 OR teams were better than this year.  There is another reason that I have been pondering about...CC has had around 750 or so yards rushing this season right?  They are a pretty pass heavy offense and had their best rushing night of the year against OR with around 140 yards.  Granted it was on something like 30/35 carries, but they were apparently very successful at running on OR or they would not have kept doing it, all I am saying is that this year AC has a very good rushing team with a good Line, but they can also throw the ball making them much more balanced and harder to gameplan for.  I think this is the reason we all think we can beat them this year.  I do not see any reason you would think that we could not, not saying we will, but there are more than enouph reasons to think that we can.

That's a good post.  AC has a very good football team, good balanced offense, great line and rushing game but can pass it too.  What impressed me the most when I saw them play was that the team plays with great focus and determination.  They look to me like a team on a mission.  Oak Ridge will have to play their best game of the year to stay in this one.  It will be a huge challenge for us.  I think our kids are up for it, we will soon find out.

I am having to take another blood pressure pill. I am a die hard Maverick fan and by grannie I will not set here and let any Dragon wantabe talk bad about our Mavericks. Thats it Davey turn the bulls loose on them! When I get back from the ER you will hear more. Mavericks Hold nothing back now........ just kidding guys dont get all upset but I do hope my nephew does show what the Mavericks are made of.

This game makes me nervous.  Wish it was a home game.  I haven't seen OR this year though and you always have to respect their big play ability.  When all is said and done, I'm thinking we'll wear OR's defense down and get the win.

I know you look up to OR space, but at least find your own saying. We kinda come by ours pretty honestly since it's our fight song :)) Moo Mavs Moo maybe? I'm guessing AC probably plays Rocky Top like every other HS in East TN does except for us and a hanfull of others, maybe. Edited by SweetScience

      You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.

      I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.

      Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
