One thing to keep an eye on, Jeffers, the QB for CC, injured his ankle vs Powell. He was pretty hobbled after the game Friday night.

He also took a nasty shot to the ribs, as well.  Jeffers is obviously the key to the Cougar offense.  If he's healthy they are obviously much more dangerous.

Well, West maybe the favorite to win this thing, but they've been the favorite before. They have never won a state title with all the talent they've had over the years. So, if CC plays them, it'll be a battle of two teams that have never won a state title, and CC shouldn't be intimidated by them. Just saying

Totally agree with ya!

Thats a good attitude to have, but my comment was more about David Crockett and not so much about west.

Wasn't replying to ur comments Mav. Just saying that west has something to worry about also if they get CC. Now they may kill CC, but CC may kill them. It'll be two 10-1 teams, and their 10-1 for a reason, their pretty good. That's all.

That's the kind of thinking that CC has to avoid this week. Let's hope that Round 2 isn't even in their collective minds at all. The Cougars have never won a playoff game, nor have they ever been favored to win one, so you wonder if that will effect them. They have to take it one game at a time, regardless of the opponent.

If CC comes out focused and blows out Gibbs, we'll know that their heads were in the right place.
