Grundy at Upperman Round 1

Upperman wins pretty easy in this round. Don't be shocked to be playing Tyner either in the 2nd round. Tyner is not your typical 4-6 team.

if SC meets UH in round 2, UH is a huge favorite based on first game plus comparable scores versse MC and DC. But, If Tyner wins 14+ verse SC, then the folks in Baxter should be worried.

How are you...my friend? Cookeville has some great places to eat...as you probably know. Good luck tonite.

Too busy to breathe most days. Work in Cookeville daily. Still doing the sports for the paper. Run the high school bass team and am the booster club president for it. Run the TN district for NBT and I'm on the national board as the Sponsorship chair. Chair of the new GCHS Sports HOF committee. Probably going to have to take over as chair for the Grundy County Veteran's Historical Society too as my friend Y.B. Ashby who led that passed away this week, and if I don't take over no one will. Then maybe I'll be lucky enough to die a worn out frail and broke old man and have very few show up at my funeral like he did Wednesday.

Grundy is either a very easy place to live or a very hard one. Either you lay up on your rear and collect a check and do nothing for your family, your community, God or Country....or....You are one of the few that gets stuck with doing everything.

........and how are you doing?

I am great. I didn't know you were working in Cookeville. Do you drive or do you stay there some? We will have to meet up for lunch sometime.

Work for DHS over on England Drive. Drive up every day. Not bad. 55.3 from the house. 1 mile on my "street", 9 miles on hwy 399, the rest is 111 and the turn for England is just over I-40. Our offices are right along I-40. I'm in the older building next to the fancy new Health Dept.

Hey Del. If I am leaving from the house, what would be the quickest way for me to get there tonight?

I'm not sure about quick but I'd go the way I come up for work. Just simple and easy. You can go up 111 and then get on I-40 toward Nashville and then take the Baxter exit to get to Upperman. But from where I live it would be crazy to go any other way. Too much start and stop through McMinnville, etc. Just mind the speed limits on 111. The blue lights are out there all the time. I use cruise control ALL THE TIME.
