William Blount offseason thread

Seemed like there was alot of young players making plays tonight. A kid named Brandon Simerly had a long touchdown run, he looked pretty quick. What grade is he in?

 

Announcer got his numbers messed up, the kid that made that run was Cameron Miller, and he does have good speed, just really small.  Brandon Simerly was 24 for the blue team and was a LB.

 

I'm with you, I will be anxious to see how they look against another team.  I think I am too competitive to enjoy games like the Orange and Blue game, I guess I need to learn to just relax and have a good time.  There were a few bright spots, but it is hard to tell anything scrimmaging against yourself.  The 2's, 3's, and 4's saw a lot of action tonight.

 

Nice ceremony they had at halftime for Coach Murrin.

No, I didn't have my Alabama gear on tonight....I watched the game by myself from the visitors side of the track.

Orange team scored and went for 2 successfully to go ahead 29-28 with 41 seconds left.  Then the Blue team hit a big play and scored a td on the last play of the game to win 34-29.

 

Our defense goes against that offense everyday in practice, so I am anxious to see our offense against a defense that don't know what is coming......and I am anxious to see what our defense looks like when they play an offense and don't know what is coming.   We will know a lot more about what kind of team we are going to have after next Thursday.

I would say so.. Catholic is a well coached and talented team and it seems like they always have good size. I really hope that Ridge will schedule more quality opponents for fall scrimmages. It seems like every year they scrimmage cupcakes in August.

All joking aside, I wish they would contact Gaddis and try to get a scrimmage against OR.  That is a really good team that could do nothing but make us better, and we don't have to worry about facing them down the road.
