This is the last I will say about it, but here goes...

Go to the school website, (www.wbgovs.com) look at the walls in the gym, cheerleader uniforms, google search images of WBHS ...look at the coat of arms, then tell me what the official school colors are.

Don't be such a sheep, 91.

I have been around WBHS and that program for a lot longer than you may have thought.

I know for a fact it was a lot longer than you have.

I really hope they turn it around down there.

i know that navy isnt the official school color, but I like navy blue so It doesn't bother me. And my point all along was the football team has been wearing navy jerseys for over a decade so it has become a tradition. If you really wanna harp about a school's colors why dont you get on heritage for taking baby blue completely out of their uniforms and trying to look like Nebraska.

Good to see kids back on the football field again today, a welcome reprieve from basketball and baseball, IMO.   Not sure of the reasoning behind splitting the players into such lopsided teams....I would think that the more evenly matched the teams were, the more good they would get out of spring practice.  In any case, I am glad that something football related is going on......also a good sign to see college scouts at the first spring practice.

They started practice today? And what schools were the scouts from?

Yes.  Next practice is tomorrow (Thursday).

The players get pads tomorrow, spring practice starts next week. Orange and Blue game is on May 9th, scrimmage at home against Catholic on May 15th.

 

Looks like they will need to call this edition the Blue and Silver game, I like the Silver look. From the looks of things, that game won't be much to watch, they have the blue team loaded....We will be lucky if we get through that game without injuries.

That was the original start date....from what I understand, they wanted to do a scrimmage and to get the dates to work out for a scrimmage with Catholic, they had to move practice up a week.  I didn't count the kids that were dressed yesterday, but it looked like they had between 50-60 dressed.  Baseball is still going on, soccer is still going on, and 3 or 4 were not dressed because of various reasons, so I would think there would have been another 10 out there if not for those things....and that is only 10-12 grade, Freshman are not involved in spring, there is probably around 30 freshmen.  So it looks like their numbers will be strong again this year..

The players are busted up into 2 separate teams for spring, one team has blue jersey's with orange numbers, and the other team has silver jersey's with navy numbers.
