That's always a good excuse! Knoxvul has been really adamant about them not being nearly as good this year. Still not sure if I believe him, but he has been very adamant about it nonetheless.

They gave roster sheets as you went in tonight and Oak Ridge has 89 players not counting any Freshman.Thats crazy.That is the power of Joe Gaddis.Someone said Oak Ridge was in the 50s under Blade

I think they are being really conservative because they don't want to their key players hurt. Think about it.. If you were a HC and thought your team could win state would you play your starters in a scrimmage against Gibbs and risk getting them hurt?

To be exacy they have 86 on roster and yes Blade didn't give 2 hoots about numbers. He said he didn't want jersey wearers, but football players. That was his mentality. Personally it seems that the more numbers you have then ultimately the more talent you have to choose from, right? Or am I crazy? Maybe both.

No Blade Didn't care about the numbers. He cared about winning.. Didn't we go to the semi finals with, Blade? How many did he have on the roster that year??

I think that's a good thing. That's a big part of what scrimmages should be about imo.

Granted, they only played one series but in that one series it wasn't pretty. Defensively, West got off the field in 3 with their starters.
