Idiot reply.  Goodpasture boys & girls combined margin of victory will be 100+ points.  I know you can't count that high but count each finger 10 times each.  That's the beatdown TC will get.  Your break time is over.  Get back to cooking fries.

That's fine, keep disrespecting TC just like you did in FB, you saw what that got you, two good rear end whippins! TC owns GP in FB and soon you will find out what its like in BB.

Who cares about the football outcome? It is irrelevant to the basketball teams. And, by the way, isn't this a basketball board? I don't know a thing about Trousdale and its basketball team, but have seen Goodpasture a couple of times this season. For whatever reason, they don't seem to be playing as well as I would have expected with 4 senior quality returning starters. They're quite capable of putting a serious beatdown on a less talented team, but they have struggled some this year in a few games. Maybe they will find their chemistry in the coming weeks. Their coach is outstanding.

This is a case of a single TC fan just trying to stir you all up. Goodpasture is the best single A team in the state for bball. Most people know this fact. We do appreciate the willingness to be flexible with the schedule. TC only has 5 players right now. I've seen Goodpasture and they are legit. I don't see anyone in the region or state for that matter giving them much trouble. I'm sure baseball will be the same.

Thanks for the post. I do think Goodpasture is the best single A team in the area but they will need to improve to beat the teams coming out of the West (Mitchell, Humbolt, etc.).

GP coach said that TC doesn't have enough players to scrimmage in practice yet.  Plus, TC hasn't played a game yet.  You don't want to play your 1st game against Goodpasture after they've played 6 or 7.  It's better for both teams that the game was moved.  It's crazy that district games are scheduled before Christmas anyway.  Good luck in FB in Cookeville.

Goodpasture has had several close games but their schedule has been pretty tough so far.  I got to see the Lipscomb game this week and the issue with GP is that selfishness has set in.  Guards are taking contested shots, showboating layups and missing, and thinking about themselves over the team.  Shooting percentages are horrible.  When they realize their points will come a lot easier when they shoot good uncontested shots, look out.  I've seen them play when they look for the best shot as a group.  It's an awesome sight when they have 4 players scoring 15-20 points each.  They are capable.  They are beatable right now the way they're playing.

    • Pickett is good, may have a Mr. Football like season if he’s used correctly. One of the best teams Marion has fielded in a while. I think they go 12-1 and loose to ER.  ER has better players at almost every position. If they play discipline this year, they win soundly. If they don’t though…Marion could sneak away with it.
    • I’m betting the house on the Indians. Pickett and Co will be the only team to challenge the Indians in the East. Huntingdon can in the West. I think Brooks goes 15-0 and has the first perfect season and state championship in ER history.
    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
