That's what it sounds like to me as well. Bledsoe played Cannon in a play day before season began. Cannon beat them by 12. Game could have went either way!!

Tuesday night will be a good measuring stick for the lionettes.  They have to shut Hackett down something they did not do last season.  It should be a great game in Woodbury though.

Just my opinion but you play zone clog up the lanes so she cant drive and make her shoot from outside.

I think Cannon runs away with district this year. I thought LA, MC, SC might all be jumbled at the top, but so far Cannon is way better than I thought and Macon is way worse. I say LA and SC are some were in between.

Some interesting games in 8-AA tonight, who does everyone have in these match-ups?

 

 

DeKalb Co @ Central Magnet  (I think the Lady Tigers pull out a close upset on the road and shock everyone tonight)

 

Smith Co. @ Cannon Co. (Toss-up IMO so I will go with the home team Cannon in a close one)

 

Upperman @ Macon Co. (I'll take Upperman to win this one on the road, I think this is another close game)

 

 

York @ Livingston Acad. (LA get it going and this one isn't close, LA by 20+)

Central Magnet by 10 or more. Post play with be the deciding factor.

Cannon by a nose.  When you have Hackett you can stay with anyone within the District.

Macon will win if they can get there post motivated.

L A should have no problem with york 30 +

First it was a starter out and a main sub, now it is two starters out, will the reason next week be everyone was sick?

 

If neither of those could defend in the post it may not have mattered much anyway. In addition to a senior scoring 29 DC also allowed a freshman in her second week of high school basketball to get double figure rebounds.

 

As mentioned previously Seq had only two on the court that were not in eighth grade or averaged two points or less last year, in the second week. And with a new coach. That kind of inexperience and unfamiliarity should have given DC an edge even with some out but they were just outplayed especially inside.

No point in arguing over this. If two players don't make a difference then whatever. All I know is without them the upperman game wouldn't have even been a contest. For what it's worth DC has two players in the starting rotation that didn't play last year.
