If you will go to section 17 of the TSSAA bylaws you will see that Maryville has never violated any recruiting rules. Maryville City Schools is in accordance with Tennessee Board of Education, and their rules of being open zoned are not illegal in any form or fashion. It is an advantage, but as Stars pointed out they're not the only ones with this advantage. Either way I don't see anyone else taking advantage of this situation like Maryville. Winners bring jealousy, and nobody in the nation has done it more over the last decade, so keep it coming.

one thing I can say about the schools with athletes that want to go to the next level....they can and don't have to win the gold ball to do so if you are a next level stud.......they will go to timbucktoooo if they have to......the gold ball is an extra added incentive for the school....great to have...

No..i'm talkin about some real competition this year like last year...not from 5aaa...oh I forgot about that scrimmage in middle tennessee....oh but that was only a scrimmage......cmon starz....you looked on that schedule and said.....piece of cake....STAPLES EASY BUTTON!!LOL

1572 total students in high school, 32 are tuition for a total of 2 %. Around 110 total football players counting freshmen with 32 being tuition for a total of 29%.

All of the tuition students play football???  Dudes!  I've followed this back and forth ever since I've been on the T and I've never seen that.  I'm not saying it's illegal.  I know for a fact it's not.  But if it is true that is one whale of an advantage against most of the other teams in 4AAA and statewide I would guess.  Good job Stars!

      The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??

      If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!

      Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
