Jeffcobth
I'm ready for individuals too. Not a fan of duals myself. Ready to get things started on Friday night.
teamtnwrestling
Also I just thought I'd talk a little abou the 138 pound weightclass. Its looking pretty tought this season. I could see Williams(ME), Lane(SH), Allen(DB), and Spoon(MW) making a case to be in the final. The thing about both Williams and Spoon is you never know how theyre going to wrestle that day. They could beat the best guy in the gym by a point and then lose the very next match to someone nowhere near their caliber. If they are both on their A-game expect a very interesting semi-final at the region tournament. Allen(DB) dropped to 132 but looks like he could easily make it to conso finals but he would have to beat Penely(THS) to go to finals. Cant wait to watch how this one turns out! Harer(DB) is the 138 now. Both weight classes im eager to watch! What team do you guys think will win the individual tournament overall as a team? I believe the Hill will probably end up at the top of the leader board this weekend but anything can happen with THS, JC, and DB all having great tournament teams. Harer at 38 is going to be tough. Williams only beat him 5-4. Harer is my pick against storm in the final. williams beats spoon in the semis and harer beats lane on the other side. 106-Bynum(DC) vs Nelson(THS) 113-Austin(SH) vs Fuller(THS) 120-Collins(JC) vs Messer(DC) 126-Hurley(THS) vs Hudgens(SH) 132-Vaughn(SH) vs Pendley(THS) 138-Williams(ME) vs Harer(DB) 145-Bagley(SH) vs Jeffers(DB) 152-Frye(DB) vs Rolston(SH) 160-Begely(DB) vs Broyles(MW) 170-Spangler(THS) vs English(JC) 182-Nguyen(SH) vs Bott(THS) 195-Bagley(SH) vs Lathem(JC) 220-Foster(DB) vs Jenkins(BOONE) 285-Townsend(JC) vs Ruth(DB) Edited February 3, 2014 by newcoach215

newcoach215
Do you have the guy you think is going to win it listed first or do you just have the two guys who you think will make it listed? No particular order. Just who I believe will be in the finals.

Jeffcobth
I may be playing favorites here but I don't think your giving Jeff County enough credit. I think there will be at least three in the finals. I respect your opinions, but Jeff county is not the same team they was a month ago. You are right about that especially coming off a pretty good showing at state duals, but what I can tell, with new coach post is the top two seeds against each other earlier in the season. Not saying that those will be in the finals. Wrestling is all about match-ups as well. Jeff County may not be the same team, but individually do they match-up well with where they are placed in the bracket. That is the question you have to ask yourself. I feel that SHHS will win the regional title, but Jeff County, TN High, and DB are fighting for second through fourth.
