The refs weren't the best for either team, but the refs don't get you beat 37 points. Both teams are powerhouses of class A, but with JC being a one-man team it will only get tougher on them. Once any team stops Coe, it's over. Both teams are playing well. Too bad JC had a bad night tonight. Clarkrange is only going to get harder and harder to beat. This is just a battle in the war. We will see how it ends up. Both teams have potential and the next game could still go either way. JC will have to make adjustments to stand a chance.

Bob77, UCSportsFan..

Curious to hear your takes on the game. I know the "homer" in both of you, but you will tell it like it was.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make the game I had meetings in Nashville all day but from what I hear CR dominated JC on both ends of the floor. This is the worst defeat Jackson County has had by a Class A team in a long long time. Jackson County suffered a major blow losing their point guard right before the season and they have not recovered. Clarkrange is clearly the better team and IMO will have to have a bad day to lose another game. The state championship is theirs to lose. The 3 new additions they were able to get have made all the difference. JC will still make it to the buro' and they are still a threat to win it. I remember a couple of years ago we beat Clay County by 40 during the season and then got waxed in the championship game by the same team. This score did not surprise me but its nothing more than a regular season win. All that matters is who wins the last one that counts! Edited by UCSportsFan

    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
