I just don't know anything other than that the student/athlete you mentioned is back with the Powell team. And for the record I, and my radio station, are not broadcasting Powell football this year. We will be broadcasting South-Doyle football. Looking forward to being back with my friend, and former Powell coach Clark Duncan. He's done a great job with the South-Doyle program since returning to the sidelines. I also hope the Panthers do well. I had 12 great years of broadcasting their games, and have lots of terrific memories of those years and still have several lifelong friendships cultivated because of my association with the program. It was simply time to move on, and it's a decision I certainly gave a lot of thought and consideration to before making. Really pumped about my new opportunity with Coach Duncan and the Cherokees. My prediction is either South Doyle or Oak Ridge Playing Knox West this year in Round 3, SD and OR will play at OR 2nd round. If OR wins second round Knox West will play at the ship, if SD wins that game they will travel to knox west. I like to think AC to be in that mix this year, but the closer it gets the more and more I feel like OR may win the district and Knox West will be in the same circumstance last year coming in second behind Maryville. You have good coaching, a good line, and very good Athletes. every other favorite in the district is strong at one or 2 aspects of the game, CC will be pretty good, but their line is nothing to write home about and I do not see them having the playmakers to make a large gap, AC will be touph as well, but there are a lot of questions on the Line and an unknown QB, Clinton may have the best QB in the district, but are lacking up front and are not very deep in the skill set. I believe OR line will be as good if not better than any in the district, and they will be athletic at every position with another year under a very good coach, I just see this being a year where OR prevails in the district with either AC or CC coming up 2nd/3rd and Clinton getting the 4th spot with a good season.
