Im not sure how my Cavaliers will stop henderson... but it seems like they find ways to shut Crosslin down everytime they play.  I don't know if its nerves (don't some of Cookeville play with Crosslin in summer some?)  Or he has just simply had not great shooting games.   He seems like a great kid and certainly I can tell he is a great looking shooter.

If there is one thing I know from our rivalry tho.. its expect the unexpected.   Some years (not often lately i might add , hehe)  White beats us easy twice.  Some years, vice versa, ..then their are those years where both games are very close and could go either way.  There have even been times where we have blown White co out one time, only to be blown out the next game.   Its always fun!

hey alumn89, too funny. we argued back and forth bout the payne kid and the other guy mentioned the henderson kid. too funny, i was on m twitter feed and came across a very interesting article. they both have articles written on them as two of the better sleeper players in the southeast. it was written by a national basketball recruiting website. they may be a little late on the two as far as updates go because i know the payne kid has offers from 2 of the schools on the list and  another d1 not on the list. i know that the henderson kid has interest from a few d1s as well. they have them both listed as no official offers but as players with near offers but i cant speak definitively about hednerson but payne has 3 d1s on the books. told ya the kid was doing it. links below by the way

no problem at all. i hope both go d1 and make it as far as possible. i am doing a little digging and trying to find out exact schools with interest or offers to henderson. i know paynes list is growing by the day. a high-ish level d1 is showing serious interest in him as of yesterday. word is they will make offer once all is worked out on a visit date. i cant imagine henderson not having 4 or 5 d1s soon. payne has that now, for the most part. sad them 2 wont match up again.

    • What you are saying is true about high school athletics being a privilege and not a right, but NO ONE ever knows what will happen if a case goes before a jury.  Again, I have been in a couple of jury rooms and it's always a little crazy.  That is why my prediction is you will see a settlement before the case goes to trial.
    • What rules does everyone not operate by?
    • So you want a have and have not split? Sound like the perfect ramp to elitism. Tell those rural kids that they'll never be able to compete with those urban kids. They're not good enough right? Or we could just do what travel baseball does and have tournaments every weekend and give kids big fake rings for winning a few games. The suburban public schools are typically the ones with more funds. Urban and rural schools have more in common in finances than they do with rural schools. I've taught and coached in all of it. The difference is attitude. But if you're jsut going to say you can't compete because you don't have the money then that's an excuse. Especially in basketball. The balls are the same size, the rims are the same height and size. The ball dribbles the same in some rural gym in mountains as it does in the FedEx forum. Charters come and go like a fart in the wind. They are no real threat to anyone. Magnets could be but rarely do they win either. It just hasn't been seen in Tennessee.
    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
