All the noise I hear is on catholic. Apparently they are recruiting like gang busters. Will they be moving over to the AAU league soon?

One of those AAU teams took one of our players a few years back. He is a senior now and committed to an sec school but I hope he feels bad bc Ordway stayed and has sec offers of his own!

It's called being successful and attracting athletes, like we've done for many years. No recruiting necessary.

Its called recruiting when the coaches make contact with parents and players .. which has and will continue to happen at Private and Open Zone -- AAU schools

We all know how innocent Fulton is when it comes to getting players (wink wink).  They are the only school that kids go too because of their tradition.

Dark horse in 4a to make noise is LA. Practically the who team back and two stars back who were out all of 2013. Here are a few listed on Murphy's top prospects: Hunter McDonald DE Academy 6'250 (1-AA), Wade Eldridge WR 6-5 220 (1-AA)

Peter Hollars WR 6-3 205 (D-1)

LA?  Never heard of them.  Big boy talk here.

There are lots of kids wanting to go to Alcoa because of tradition and they have a good program .. one of the top in state but still doesnt discount the fact that recruiting is happening there and at your beloved Knox Cath ... easy way to solve .. private vs private  .... public vs public  ... then the privates could recruit against the other privates .. and the publics that loose players to the privates wouldnt have to play against that or those kids ...

If Fulton was ever gonna recruit ..should have been this year since they lost 9 of 11 starters on offense and  all OL and half of the defensive starters .. so who ever is in charge of recruiting failed this year for sure. LOL

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
