I clearly remember being at the Whitehaven vs Melrose Game in Da Haven in 2003 (Soph year in College) and seeing dude do us like Randall Cunningham/Johnny Football where he ran around behind the line of scrimmage then threw a BOMB on the broken secondary... They beat us 53-28 that year... After I saw that I saw Dual Threat lol

Yeah, I remember that whippin now that you mentioned it. I didn't say he couldn't RUN! LOLOL!

In all seriousness, I remember him being at his best when he did, 3, 5, and seven step drops. He could run option, but that's not what he excelled at in my opinion.

My point is undeniable... I started Paying attention to it in 2000. Heard that all the Wide Receivers that were catching passes from Danny Wuerrful (Sp?) were former QBs in HS

The fastest and best athletes in high school are almost always the QB.  That usually does not pan out in college.  I bet more than half of the safeties, CBs, tight ends, and wide outs at major colleges were the QB for their high school.  Someone on here said Todd Helton was the best they'd seen.  He made a living playing baseball.

Hines Played QB at UGA

Randle El was a 3 year Starter at QB

Your Point isn't my point... The Old Ball Coach don't recruit Athletic Black QBs to play QB. He's NEVER even had one HE'S RECRUITED in his 3 Deep as a College Football Coach... EVER

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
