My opinion(since I have a little knowledge about both teams): We scrimmaged Polk the day before the Jamboree and it is true they are a little down this year..not as deep with depth. I haven't seen Central but it seems like they are moving in the right direction.

Sounds like a close game due to the home field advantage for Polk. I am not a betting man but this game could be won by either team by 7 points. If Central is as good as advertised, they could win by 10 pts or more...just depends on how the team responds after a big home victory last week.

Should be a good game..(more of a statement game for Central).

I think I agree with fish..it will be a low scoring affair. Polk held Bradley central to 21 points.. Polk turned the ball over two times inside Bradley's 10 yard line. I don't know if any of that means anything in this game, but that one could have been a little closer....

Polk is young and somewhat inexperienced, and everyone (district 5AA) thinks this is the year to end the win streak.... who knows? I sure don't, but the quote, normally attributed to Mark Twain, keeps ringing in my head.... "the reports of my death are greatly exaggerated"

And to the food,,,, Whitewater Diner, Dam Deli, Gondolier are all good up a little on East 64.. There is also the Hardees, a Mexican restaurant just as you get onto 411, and then a pizza place about a half mile north on 411. These are all good places to eat.

PC(imo) will still win 5-6 games. That's pretty good when you have as green a team as the Wildcats are this season. 5-6 wins will probably get them into the Playoffs which would be a very good springboard for 2015. I think PC will be back to being PC in 2015.

Polk County fans. Where is the best place to eat prior to the game? Is the Dam Diner any count?

Try Jenkins in Bradley county not that far off the way from Chattanooga if not you won't be disappointed in the DD. Shake Shack on 64 going towards Polk County for a decent shake hamburger fries old style. Bbq is Ok also.

Central can't afford to take anyone lightly. We are in the process of just trying to establish ourselves. New regime, new philosophies and just trying to get our community behind our boys. We have nothing but respect for coach Davis, his staff and players. They will be ready to play in front of their home crowd! Can't wait for Friday.

Yes Tis. You? I am just thankful that we don't have to face that FB and that safety again this year. Those boys could play. Just hope our boys play disciplined football. Offense has got to put points on the board to give our defense a chance. Love the drive to Polk. Love the community atmosphere. Really hope that our community in Harrison will make that drive to support our boys.

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
