South is a tough one to figure out. South wins this one, but by how much? It's hard telling. This has been a crazy season. East performing well, North dropping fast. South kind of inconsistent. Close loss to TN High, Smaller than expected margin of win vs Gate City(2A vs 4A).  And Elizabethton seems to be on par for a 8-2 or 9-1 season. This will be an interesting game though. I feel South is my favorite by 1-2 TDs.

South passes at will.   Then Boone puts in double safetys and extra DBs, so South runs at will.   Drop the DB's and add LB's, South goes back to passing at will.      Poor Will, he can't catch a break !!!!

Boone puts the ball on the turf an average of 6 times per game on offense, and you just cannot give a team like South free field position.

I agree with your prediction here. South will go as far as their line play will allow them to go. It has been inconsistent even within a single game (1stHalf/2ndHalf of both TNH and Gate City games). I think that Gate City would play in a 3A/4A conference if it was a Tennessee school so the size difference isn't as much as you think and they will probably challenge for a state title in their classification this year. If we put together a full 4 quarters worth of good line play I think South wins by 28+. The defense was stellar against Gate City.

Forgot to add this.....  I can only remember one game in recent years where South has not run back a kickoff for a score.   That is such a deal-breaker and momentum shifter, yet it happens over and over.      So South fans, how about if we just spot you 7 points before the game starts but you have to promise not to run any back on us.... deal?
