Vasco Curry out of Memphis East showed up at the Nike Combine in Birmingham as anunknown commodity but he left earning the Defensive Line MVP

Vasco won the defensive MVP award over players like Daron Payne and Fletcher Adams at the Nike Combine in Birmingham but that really did not surprise him

We live in Tennessae where its all about Nashville,Knoxville and East Tennesse,They could care less about Memphis and West Tennesse!!!!!!!!!!!

Memphis East used the NFHS Network to record several of their games last year (2013). They have four quality games that you can view for free. You have to become a member of the NFHS, which is simple and easy, then you can watch 'On Demand' the entire game of your choice. You can watch all of them, one after the other. The games that they have On Demand are 1) East vs Millington, 2) East vs Ridgeway, 3) East vs Whitehaven, and 4) East vs Henry County. I've watched all four of them at one point. The only game on that list that has the current starting QB for 2014 on it is the Henry County game. He got hurt early in the season last year, and he didn't play in the Ridgeway, Millington, or Whitehaven games last year. They won those games with their 2nd string QB. The link is below.

East beat Whitehaven without Jordan Williams and Elix Harris (#5 our Middle LB)

 

We had some tough Injury loses, so as good as you THINK East is, Our A+ game is still Better than East's A+ game... Why??? Because we're Whitehaven and yall NOT.

East had a very good team last and I believe a even better one this year. As far as them winning those games with their 2nd string QB,, that late in the year every team has their injuries. They beat Millington in the 1st rd of the playoffs 19-14 and Millington was playing a soph QB and freshman RB due to injuries. So it kind of leveled out.

You misunderstood why I made that comment. I emphasized that point because the QB that is playing now (Watch the East vs Southwind video by Cityballers) is who their starting QB really is. Those videos allow you to get a feel for the East team late last year ... but thier offensive identity is better evauluated when you watch them with their starting QB. They missed him on offense AND defense ... but he's playing in the Southwind video. A 6'-5" SAFETY makes a big difference.

EAST played that same game without our starting QB Eric Banks,All Star RB Antonio Clifton,DE Ray Taylor,and DE Tyler Stepheny, PLUS our Safety played QB all last year!!!!! SO injury was not a factor to us we played with the cards we was dealt.The FUNNY part was they had their HOMECOMING on our field and got BEAT not to mention the 3 TDS they took from us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
