he will do that if you leave him open.

From what I saw, he appeared to find the open spot, but was also taking shots well behind the 3pt line in traffic. Don't know if I have seen a more pure shooter at PC than, well, his coach, Nathan Aaron. However, the Gibson boy from PC has a nice shooter's touch as well.

Clay Co. over Pickett Co. 71 - 63. CC shot lights out from three range (11-20). CC is a big athletic team. CC did what other teams will start doing to PC, have a lock down defender on Abbott the entire game (CC must have scouted the Sonic Shootout where Abbott was 13-19 from three range the last 2 games).

Anybody from Clay Co. (or that knows), are all the Clay Co. players from the Clay Co. area? In particularly, number 23 (I think that was his number). I don't recall him playing last year. He was a baller.

Only #21 on Clay Co. is not from the area he transferred in during football season. Tyreke Key #23 did play last year but was only a freshman...Great game to watch last night. Ferrell was all over the place he can play and has improved a lot since last year, should be a good game in celina. Right now CC is in control of the district with, however, they play Jackson county twice still and anything can happen in gainesboro.

District 7A is wide open right now.  Clay is a solid team but they still have to travel to Jackson County and to Clarkrange and the Clarkrange game will be alot different now that they have their point guard back.  I see a 3-way tie for first just like they picked it in the preseason.  PC will play Monterey in the 4/5 play in game in the district tournament with PC winning that and then after that its anybody's guess.  If Clay Co. is hitting on all cylinders like they were in Byrdstown then they will be very hard to beat, but that can be said for Jackson County as well as Clarkrange.  Should be a great couple of months in 7A!

It could be an interesting finish in the district with as many games as there is still to play between the three top teams. I'm a bit bias but I do not think Clay has played to their full potential as of yet. The Pickett game worried me after having already played three games this week and it being the 4th game in 5 days. As the old saying goes time will tell.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
