7a-Any opinions?

Heard the Pickett/crange game was a good one with the buffaloes winning. Anybody got any info on the game?

 

CR jumped out to a 19-3 lead the first qtr and lead by 2 at half-time (24-22). Then some critical turnovers by PC during the third and forth let CR take advantage. I would say CR is about 5-7 points better as a team than PC at this stage. However, if CR gets hot from 3 range, then that number jumps to about 9-12 points. CR does not appear to have a deep bench, but their starting five are long and athletic. PC seems to be still adjusting their lineup a bit, as I saw 2 freshmen start the second half (only one started the game).

Yes. Agreed.

 

Both PC and CR teams go by the way of their point guards.

 

CR pg shot well. PC pg is a slasher and had an off night against CR. It is hard to slash against CR's zone/match type defense. I believe if PC would have kicked out a few passes to the perimeter, then PC could have had more success against CR.

PC stopped scoring when John Michael Ferrell went out with 4 fouls.  Pickett had outscored Clarkrange 27-7 and would have won by a good number of points had he stayed in. Once he went out PC started making very poor shooting choices and forced the shots too often. I think PC will win on a neutral court.

Wow. I must have heard about a different game. I did hear that crange had big lead and let PC come back but haven't heard anyone say Ferrells foul trouble was the turning point. I guess my PC coworkers left that part out. Neutral court? Home court is usually the best court a team can have.

You weren't there but you know that Ferrell's being out didnt matter? The home court is over with...next game at CR...I'm talking about the playoff which will be a neutral court. People pick apart the tiniest thing you say on here!

At no time did I say his being out didn't matter. You posted PC stopped scoring when he went out and would have won by a good number had he been in. That's not giving any of the other PC players much credit is it? Or the crange players either for that matter. Saying the five players from crange couldn't stop one player. I'll say it again-Wow!

He is the point guard. He sets up plays and scores as well. They get out of sinc when he goes out. They had outscored Clarkrange 27-7 but that stopped when he went out and CR scored 9 in a row. He does make a big difference.

PCHS....

New BOBCATS Boys Coach this season....NATHAN AARON! He played @ PCHS and scored over 3000 pts. in his High school career! The Bobcats are good. ...but the Best Is yet to come! There are 2 freshman boys that have unlimited talent! #35..Brian Gibson he is an excellent player..approx.6'3...he is good inside and outside....Coach Aaron is prepping him for the state!!

#10 "Awesome Dawson"Abbott (name speaks for itself)!! He is the best outside 3 point shooter on the team...he had 7 three pointers when Bobcats played White county!

With Coach Aaron starting this year with All of tat talent...They will be future state champions! The single A division will only dream of shutting them down! PCHS has finally got the leadership that they deserve!

PCHS...LADY BOBCATS!!

COACH BRENT SMITH...has finally got the talent he needs to go to the State! Abby Buck (sophomore) is a great defensive player....but an Awesome Offensive Player! Abby Buck is Good!! Her 3 point shot is One of a kind! The ladies have a freshman player that Can Do It All ...Courtney Pritchett!!

She has talent like a Senior already! That's one girl that will be remembered @ PCHS! She has the talent of Perry Lynn Huckeby....led the girls to 4 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS!! 1977-78-79 And 1980!! And Perry Lynn Huckeby will Never be forgotten!! But Courtney rules the Court!! When she leaves for her College Career...Perry Lynn will be 2nd! This young lady will break All of the Records!! Division One college's will be fighting for this girl!

Go Coach Smith...you are finally getting the recognition that you Deserve!

The Lady Bobcats are on the prowl!!

Can't forget to mention the other Lady Cats...they travel together! Adrienna Thurman (Jr)...has a great 3 point shot too...actually Silent but Deadly!

McClerron and Ferrell are also tough players and talented (great ball handlers)....They make a good combination!!
