Collinwood hosts Perry County this week. Both teams have struggled so far this year. This Trojan team has faught hard this season despite being outmatched and outcoached. Thoughts?

Im pulling for our neighbors down the road but I'll be honest, with the way PC runs their defense I don't think Cwood will have much success against them. I know PC has the same record but they got some big boys up front and some pretty good athletes, just no coaching. The only edge I can find for Cwood is it's at home but at the same time it's homecoming, which to me is a distraction. Who was the young man that got hurt this past week if you don't mind me asking?

lol... At least we can be confident in knowing one of the two will get their first W of the season.

To answer your question from the other thread, PC bounces around and has two or more blitzing on every play and I don't think Cwood will be able to pick it up. I'm all for Cwood in this one but I feel PC will just bring too much pressure. As for PC offense, they may struggle but I feel they will put up enough to win.

this game will show if cwood has any coaching at all, pc runs three running plays pretty much if they don't run right up the middle then its a sweep to the outside, just blitz your backers and keep somebody on #23 all night that's the only player that they will throw to. but cwood just don't have the line and strength to stop this pc run.

I would reserve judgement on the coaches until the numbers of kids on the team come back to normal...it's hard to make a difference during the game without options. Things that good coaches teach show themselves in the Trojan players like hustle, discipline, and they don't quit until the whistle.

This should be a good game. Not really sure who to pick because both teams struggle on defense. I think it being at Collinwood and it being homecoming i have to give them the edge. Linden's coming off a bye week and they will be really rusty in my opinion. These kids will play one quarter and get tired then quit. No matter who they're playing. They should've beaten Loretto. They were up the whole game and had a great game plan but the lack of leadership and lack of heart in my mind really came back to haunt them in that game. I may be wrong and Linden come out like waynesboro poster said and when by three touchdowns but i went back and watched them play Loretto on MustangsTV.com and they seem to have some speed. Should be a great week of talking on here even though i'm the only poster that affiliates with Linden.

    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
