What? I thought all Maryville coaches were top notch from Pee-Wee to HS? Not being smart. I honestly have always just figured it being as much.

SS, both of my sons have come up playing football for the Maryville Lil Rebs, Southerners, Rebs, Maryville Middle and at the high school. I am very glad my boys have been around each group of coaches. I think several of the area football programs are blessed to have great men leading these programs.... a lot of good men giving up their time to coach these kids.

You have to have a great feeder system to have a great program like Maryville.

A lot of these programs have coaches that have been in place for years. These coaches have established a stability in their teams that a lot of other programs do not have. Maryville, Maryville Bears, Fairview, and maybe some Aloca teams (not familiar with their staffs the past few years) all have stability at the top and it shows. More than just dads moving from team to team to coach their son, these men are vested in coaching kids.

Maryville has had Middle School teams drilled by Alcoa many times ... Then went on to do the Drilling in High School . 1 great player can change a game completely in Middle School .... a lot harder to do that at the High school level . 

 

As for WB ... I just hope we can keep it close and get back to .500 on the Year !!

Well I am pretty sure Paul Bales went to Alcoa, and he and Mayor Don Mull have dinner every Sunday at Shoneys in Maryville.!

Having lived in Valdosta and worked in Kingsland, I can verify that both places are dumpster fires.
