cherokean
This award should go to the best deserving coach in each class...But like every year it will be given to the state champion winning coach; IMO just because you win state shouldn't guarantee yourself to win the award. HornetKiller
Huntland. Dramatic turn around in just 1 season.
RudyWasOffsides
He's done a nice job, but I look at it this way. 6 years ago, Oakdale was one of the worst teams in TN. 6 years ago, RBS was one of the worst teams in the entire country. But everyone has an opinion.According to coacht, Oakdale lost to RBS in 2009 and 2010. But I will say this, RBS is 9 points away from being 8-1. That's impressive Edited October 25, 2014 by RudyWasOffsides

91LANDERS
He is very good but we've got a freshman qb who is a fine player in his own right and by the time he's a junior and senior is going to be very good, he's just not the runner that Seth Carlisle in Macon is. Look, Kyle Shoulders at RBS should be the coach of the year. Let me break down a little history. RBS owns the 2 longest losing streaks in the states and the last one ended in 2009 when he took over. RBS hasn't had a winning season since 1978, they did go 5-5 in 79, but other than those 2 years RBS has had a losing season every year. RBS has NEVER made in the playoffs and right now RBS sits at 6-3 with roughly half the team being sophomores with playoffs in sight. I know the coach from Oakdale had done a fine job but as someone said RBS was one of the worst teams in the country a few years ago and the program was a complete mess. We are responsible for the rule that was put that the clock runs in the second half when the lead becomes 35+ because of a beating Trousdale County put on us in 2005. 05 TC put beatings on a lot of teams
swanson71
05 TC put beatings on a lot of teamsNone of them were 92-0... It is the reason tenge clock gets run when a team gets up by 35 in the 2nd half. Edited October 25, 2014 by swanson71
TitansRTerrible
The coach at Red Boiling Springs anybody else would be a robbery. From 1986 to 2008 that program went 18-202. They had losing streaks of 63 and 61 games. 6 consecutive seasons of going 0-10. They are gonna end up 6-4 and in the playoffs for the first time maybe in team history (not sure on that one). DCTIGERFAN
Not sure he will actually get it, but if I had a vote it would go to Coach Shoulders at RBS. Fine job Coach, fine job!
PLAY4QRTS
Huntland Coach has done a heck of a job! What a turn around. My vote goes here.
ForrestRocket129
No way anyone but rbs deserves this award. Huntland was terrible the past several years under the same coach. He has absolutely zero to do with huntlands turn around. Their offensive coordinator from Franklin county gets all the credit there.
