Mav4life
WH4L, that brawl could affect West and quad 1. If TSSAA shuts them down for the year, then quad 1 would get CC and AC instead of Boone (top 4-6) qualifier and Crockett. Holy crap, I didn't know anything about that, how crazy and stupid
ChattanoogaFBFan
Something like this happened between Cleveland and Rhea County about 10 years ago where they got in a big brawl after the game in week 10. Both of them were put on two year probation but were allowed to play in the playoffs next week
TomJoad
Something like this happened between Cleveland and Rhea County about 10 years ago where they got in a big brawl after the game in week 10. I'll bet the TSSAA feels it must be consistent but they'll have to hear everybody's side quickly. Maybe they'll let them play this year and apply the penalty next year. It will make things interesting. Edited October 31, 2014 by TomJoad
devilsden
When I looked at the maps of 5A schools on the T$$AA website, they are going to have to move some teams in al quads to the west to get 8 in each quad. Hope they don't mess it up like they did one year when they had to call Cleveland and tell'em they were not in. That is why going back to regions SEEMS like a good idea. From the article on the Mitchell/Hillcrest fight, seems they didn't report it to tssaa and fans were involved. “They (TSSAA) said the reasons were because we didn’t notify them immediately and because there were fans on the field (fighting),†I don't know the situation with Boone/Crockett but if they reported it and no fans were involved they may not get the same penalty. I don't know about reporting it to the TSSAA but the news report mentions some fan involvement. The only arrest that was reported was of a 45 year old man who the admins had asked a deputy to remove for causing trouble. As he was being escorted from the field a deputy said the man pushed him. TomJoad
So even if Knox Central loses tonight might they still squeak in?
clevelandblueraiderfan
If CC is considered farther west this is what you would have: Quad 1 1 South Doyle 10-0 DW 2 Knox West 8-1 DRUP 3 Anderson Co 8-2 DRUP 4 Tennessee 7-3 5 Morristown West 6-3 6 Crockett 5-5 7 Gibbs 5-4 8 Boone 4-5 Quad 2 1 Oak Ridge 10-0 DW 2 Ooltewah DW 10-0 3 Rhea Co 9-0 DW 4 Campbell Co 8-2 5 Cleveland 5-5 DRUP 6 Clinton 6-3 7 Stone 6-3 8 Soddy Daisy 4-5 If AC is considered farther West than this is what it would look like: Quad 1 1 South Doyle 10-0 DW 2 Knox West 8-1 DRUP 3 Campbell Co 8-2 4 Tennessee 7-3 5 Morristown West 6-3 6 Crockett 5-5 7 Gibbs 5-4 8 Boone 4-5 Quad 2 1 Oak Ridge 10-0 DW 2 Ooltewah DW 10-0 3 Rhea Co 9-0 DW 4 Anderson Co 8-2 DRUP 5 Cleveland 5-5 DRUP 6 Clinton 6-3 7 Stone 6-3 8 Soddy Daisy 4-5 Campbell Co wouldn't be seeded higher then cleveland if they were in quad

HighLife
Yeah i assume Crockett and Boone will be excluded from this years playoffs. Knox West fans you may get what you want. Would thst just affect Quads 1&2 or would quads 1-2-3 all be moved around a little?
ParisRiverRat
2 Bubble teams just got more inspired....some swift justice would have to be handed out today, as playoff spots will be set in the morning, and if they get canned, then the dominoes will start falling...
