Wanted to give a heads up to all my TC brethren. Rutherford County traffic will likely be ridiculous Friday..so be sure to give yourselves extra time to make it to the game. LaVergne plays at Oakland, which is only a few miles from MTCS. Also, Riverdale plays at Blackman..but that's across town. All 4 teams are Rutherford County teams..so Murfreesboro will likely be packed

Hey TCNation, sorry to hear about recent injuries. I have a question for you. Last year our QB tore his meniscus in week 9 and played injured until we lost in semis. He had surgery around first of December and came back to the basketball court around mid January. He wasn't even close to the same player during basketball season as he was the year before. He's a really good BB player. This FB season he has been back to normal. I'm curious how Harper looks compared to last year. Hope he's recovering well but I would suspect he's not the same as last year due to the recency of injury. Good luck Friday. I anticipate a 2 to 3 TD win for the Yellowjackets! I was on a conference call this morning and a Yellowjacket somehow got in my office and I had to kill it! I promise I'm not making that up. Very warm today in West Tn today. Hope the kid who hurt his shoulder can get back into action soon!

I'd say Harper is about 85%. The injury bug has hit us hard this year.

Thanks for the well wishes. Good luck to the Lions as well. I think SEVEN's statement is about right. #5 is still a playmaker for sure. Getting his shiftiness back..top end speed may still be a bit behind. He's still VERY good and hard to bring down. Maybe that Yellow Jacket was an omen..wouldn't mind seeing a TC vs TCA matchup in Cookeville

:roflol: .......well, I'm hearing "Nurse Betty" is healing some up and TC, like Seven, is gonna come out of the ashes soon.  We got TWO RB's lost for the year due to ACL's up here, but we managed to have a "large" stable.  Still patching holes as we go.  Eventually we are going to get down to a very talented Freshman.....I think he still may be a year away though.  Nice to know all my Frienemies are still out there.

We're so banged up, we've had to resort to running the "I"  formation a little (i just threw up in my mouth). The two fastest kids on our team are done for the year. One with too many concussions, one got donkey stomped last Friday by a Whitwell player after the play.

...we've been down to talented Freshmen, and a few are still playing. We've got one that has the potential to be very, very special.

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
