Sorry but take a loss and move on. Both teams played with class and was a good game. Central never quit and they hit hard. I would not have said anything they started talking about recruiting. So sorry sir.

you have to recruit, there are no kids zoned to go to school at ND. But you don't give athletic schoolarships so its within the rules to play the publics. We all know........So good win. Any injuries to speak of? Edited by UpperCumberlandMan

We will never be able to compete with private schools. No disrespect, but to field a team like that you find em and bring them in. I see it changing soon though.

thats cheap and you did not have that tone before kickoff tonight......Booger knows it hurts Cabin; but dont sell out.....if you had won, that shot aint taken

Booger just said :popcorneater:

you silently took a shot Cabin......that is the excuse everyone is taking because it hurts.....if we are not winning, and our record over time shows we are doormats to most all, and the recruiting comment never shows up....now that we are having a good run makes the wanta be's take those shots cheap with words......we've earned it up to this point....it may not last past next Friday; but its good today.....Unload your pie hole on us, thats OK.....we are basking in the sun tonight

Booger just sayin

Again booger, I never said you recruited. I was just stating a fact. You boys come from many directions. I am not whining. Look at my post right after the game. You have a great team I wish you well. If you need to visit all my quotes, you will see I am not about bashing. I realize you are in complete compliance with the TSSAA. I just feel it is hard to compete with players coming from all areas when our boys are all from our small towns. I apologies for the tone, your right I probably have some sour grapes. Just watched my son play his final game as a Charger. Again GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR IRISH.

I know exactly how you feel. My son cried at his last game. All I could do is hug him and tell I was proud to be his father. Thank god he was able to get a full ride to play in college. Good luck to you and your boy. They played hard all way to the end. With class a good group of boys.

Polk 0-10 and Central 10-2

Scores early in the season are meaningless at this point in the season. That game was played 7 weeks ago. Central was coming off a win against Grace and Polk might have had their best effort of the year against Central. The Wildcats pulled up the tent stakes and folded the tents after the Central loss. It really is about how you are playing now and Central is coming off two very solid performances. Notre Dame is a very, very good team. Coached well with explosive athletes all over the field. It will take the Chargers best effort of the year this Friday. To move forward in the playoffs you have to beat the best.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
