Woohoo. Lions getting to scrimmage one of the better coached teams today. Should be a fun, hard hitting learning experience for both teams. Go Lions!

Over half way through and Lions ahead 21-6. But we've definitely got some kinks to work out. (O-line) Hopefully this opened some eyes before week 1.

Talked to to your boy for a while tonight yso. O line has to go back to work for sure. I think the lions learned a lot about their team tonight. Yates ran the ball hard tonight and for the most part receivers did a better job of catching the ball from the 7 on 7. Our defense looked pretty good other than giving up a big play here and there. For the most part a very successful scrimmage.

Oline wasn't pretty. They've only had a week of pads and it was the hottest week of the summer though. Not to mention it was their first team event and first event for the linemen. You should see improvement next week

good to get some live action and work on the basics...line will improve....I think your running game will be very good and the threat of passing will help...and I know coach wants the d to out hit the other team..Go Lions

Talked to the boy about the scrimmage last night. He said he was very impressed with Yates running the ball. Said he broke a long run and ran through three different defenders. That's good to hear. I'm sure the line will improve like stated earlier it's their first real test of playing together. Giving up big plays is scary with the team speed of UC and Trenton. Sounds like this year will be fun to watch!!!!
