Here's how it breaks down for the public schools:

1A: West over East

2A: West over Middle

3A: Middle over East

4A: East over West

5A: East over Middle

6A: East over Middle

 

To pretend that football in West TN is just as good as the rest of the state (because they won single and double A championships) is foolish. By your logic, I could claim that the North is just as good as the South in college football.......a team from up North usually wins little ole NCAA Division III football titles, but it would be idiotic for me to claim that the South is no better because they basically have the same number of title wins. And, big boy football is dominated in the East. There are NUMEROUS teams in the east that could beat your 1A and 2A champs. There are potentially only a handful of west teams that could beat the best 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A teams from the east.

No team from Madison Co. played this weekend. However a team from Marion Co. did. They are on complete opposite ends of the state.

Championship wise, no. However the east was not very impressive this weekend. We heard so much about the number 17 team in America Fulton scoring 60-70- and 80 points every week. We all watched the same game. Trezevant controlled the game and had a lot of unforced fumbles as well as forced fumbles. Trezevant shot themselves in the foot.

Gave trezevant ton of credit - great team .. yea you fumbled a bunch only 3 of those turned into points .. our 1 fumble turned into points for you .. we failed to score inside 10 yard line at end of  half with Interception .. thats 2 we gave you  ... so yea Trezevant dropped the ball but the center was getting knocked back and the QB was having to fall on ball ... you guys were tough ..and you expect to play tough teams in finals ... Trezevant had some of best looking players, athletes around ... speed on speed .. we knew we couldnt run wide on you and you didnt run wide on us .. most yards were up the middle ... our QB was off a bit so out passing game was not what it usually is ..but Trezevant covered well .... fact is we should have been up 33-6 at half ... and you guys may fold but as it 22-6 .. and you guys have life because we didnt take advantage .. your defense stout .. we havent seen a defense like that all year ... but the fact is when you are a championship team like Fulton ( 3PEAT) - 6 GOLDS , 2 SILVERS since 2003 - you know how to win .. these games dont affect you ..clearly Trezevant not used to the environment ... 2A you guys will dominate with #5 and others ... Good Luck ... 3 PEAT BABY !!!!!!!

19 seniors gone but they must have been 3a playing up, dropping 2 classes whats up. they have lots of speed.

They loose 10 starters on offense and 9 starters on defense .... #5 is back and #50 both Sophs are back with #10 LB ... they will not be anywhere as good next year.

Marion County is in the CENTRAL time zone 30 minutes west of Chattanooga. It's splitting hairs, but on the map it looks like it's in the middle third of the state

State championships don't make him better. Tell White has took the bears to the championship twice in 4 years. He deals with kids and circumstances no other coach does. He knows how to get kids to beat the odds. We don't even want to talk about the lack of facilities and support lol. Do you think if u put Coach Black at Trezevant he will still have all his accolades? But I bet White would be able to win just as many if he was in Fultons environment.Tell White is a heck of a coach. Some won't understand
