There is a coach in kingsport "retired" that was one of the best coaches in the early to mid 90s that could of coached any high school team and have success if he would have ever had the opportunity! ! Coach Church !!

Is that the same coach that was at Robinson a few years back as the track coach when he retired.I really liked him.I know they won the championship my one sons 7th grade year. That might have either been the schools first or atleast first in a long time back then.

If you DB guys are serious about a coaching change I hear this dude has some bandwidth:   a-fulmer1639-250.jpg

We have a great line coach and offensive coordinator. That's two jobs he had over the years as well as a defensive coach. However, what I think he does best is bring in the recruits. I'd love to bring coach Fulmer in as a Recruiting coordinator.

Possibly ...he was their in early 90s for sure and retired couple years back .he helped coach freshman until clark came on board ..one of the best many would say ..just loved his players !! I might be wrong here but from what i heard is that once clark took over he kinda slowly left because did not agree on certain things clark did -i kinda see what he is talking about if true . We won in the 90s with him ..

I've been on the recruiting trail this morning over in a little town called Gray. B)

The pickings over there would have been a lot easier if the TSSAA hadn't rescinded the 3rd year of post-season participation upon appeal. An insider to the program told me that they couldn't have kids be eligible for all star games or any of that stuff. It would have been hard to tell this years sophomores that they would never have opportunities like that. Still bad for Juniors this year...

That's a bad deal for all the good kids on both teams involved.

I won't be surprised if we lose some guys next year due to being ineligible for post-season play

I don't know what I'd do if I had a kid in that mess. It's a hard decision to leave or stay.If you go to a school like South ,SH or DB,it just depends on what they have on the team as to how your kid does.I heard we got a stud skill player from out of state and I'm sure they will find him a spot for his senior season.
