Rebel96
Stars…Maryville is indeed only 19 wins back from DB for the lead in the all-time wins column. If you go back to the end of the 1995 season Maryville was in 8th place overall in all-time wins (492-194)…86 games back from the leader Baylor (578-204). DB over took Baylor for the lead in wins the next season (1996). Fast forward to today and Maryville (745-215) sits in 2nd place to DB (764-226) in all-time wins…19 games back. Since the beginning on the 2000 season, MHS averages 13.9 wins per year whereas DB has averages 9.7 wins per year…a difference of 4.2 games per year. If these averages hold up, Maryville should pass DB in wins in 4.5 years (2019 season). When looking at the biggest movers in the all-time wins list since 1995, only a few teams stand out across the state. Maryville made the biggest jump at +61 games, Alcoa was 2nd at +20 games, Milan was third at +10 games and DB was the only other team (+1) to decrease the gap between them and the #1 team.
