WarriorFan
Memphis Ridgeway would beat Riverdale and possibly Oakland. I've seen all 3 play this year. You may have seen Riverdale early....no comparrison Edited December 21, 2014 by WarriorFan
WarriorFan
Riverdale is about speed now. May be better than last years team with several 2000 pt scorers. Many are saying that. More spread out on talent....play 10 players instead of 8 in the rotation. Full court press every possession. #reload Edited December 21, 2014 by WarriorFan

Guards who are legit... A senior laden class... I would take Ridgeway over Riverdale... Riverdale probably is at 4 though.
Antwan
Yeah.....and Central is without a major player now so Cumberland and Livingston beat them....kid averaged about 20 ppg. Also, Riverdale lost to them in its first game...many top players freshmen...used to playing middle school ball. Total rebuild now going great. Ask 2014 Final 4 GA 6A South Forsyth who graduated 1 senior, VA 4A State Runner Up William Fleming with Rutgers signee and Major PA Catholic League Program Archbishop John Carroll. I could roll to Nashville laughing at Riverdale losing to Dickson Co and White Co. Central was without said major player against Livingston only. She played against Cumberland. I think she had 20 in that game. Edited December 22, 2014 by Antwan
Guest AllBlue
who cares if the Central girl wasn't there against Livingston? Central was 1-6 against LA in the past 3 years, and I'm pretty sure that was WITH her. if we are going that route, LA was without 2 of their key players. One of them I would argue is the best on the team (Lamb). In the end, Blackman & Oakland definitely. Riverdale, nope.
WarriorFan
I'll take Riverdale losing to Miami Sr and Blackman losing to Mater Dei any day of the week compared to picking up wins at easy local tourneys. Riverdale will surprise you. Wait and see. Edited December 23, 2014 by WarriorFan

Guest AllBlue
I know Riverdale is a good team, no doubt. I just don't agree with the "not even close" comment. Several other TN teams did well in national tournaments. I would suspect many that chose to stay in-state would have done well at those same tourneys. CyclonePrider
Elizabethton just beat the two-time defending South Carolina state 4A champions Bishop England 69 To 26. They are going to be tough to stop this year. They led every team they played in the tournament by 20 points last year. I'd put them up against any team in Tennessee

However, there is no way they are in the same league statewide as Blackman and probably not Oakland either. Just my opinion. How good are Bishop England this year? I saw they are 4-3 now so didn't know if they were still considered a state contender there this year. Not to diminish the big w but trying to gain perspective. Good luck the rest of the year! etownguy39
You know I am an Elizabethton guy big time and I just do not understand people that can not look at things with perspective. Elizabethton is a great team but could not beat Blackman or Oakland we played them in summer camp and lost to both teams. They were good games saw both of them. Those schools are huge and are not really any comparisons. When you do want to talk about teams you have to include classifications or it is not fair at all. In my life time very rare to see a single A or a AA team that would be the best in the state over AAA. Elizabethton fans are very zealous in there support and it tends to cloud there judgement and that is a good thing as long as you know that up front. They won't play this year. Elizabethton is the odds on favorite to win AA. I doubt many will dispute that.
