mrmemphis26
I think as a organizer of an event like the Penny Hoopfest to come on a message board and say a team will get punished is a bit irresponsible isn't it? I could be wrong but that doesn't sound good. What makes you think that Travis? Oak Hill is Oak Hill but it's not like they are just unbeatable team, they are good, in fact probably the best team but to say that is crazy especially as the event organizer. I don't expect Hamilton to win but you seem to be saying it as though it's in concrete, how so?

I agree, I dont think you talk down on a team especially when you are the event organizer, you suppose to encourage everybody, but if you are the organizer you always root for the undersog to win. Making post like this will have you hosting your tournament somewhere else.
GBR1249
Has anyone heard if any of the scedules/times have been changed to any of the games tonight?
sportslover88
I was really impressed with Westview boys at the Hoopfest last night. They came back from being down 17 at the half to Ridgeway to beating them by 3 in overtime. If this team plays together, they will be a tough competitor to go to state in AA. Not saying that it will be easy, but this team is loaded with talent. I can't believe they only have one senior! Baring no injuries, they will be even better next year! GCPioneer
Where is copenoc saying Hamilton was overrated and saying Union City would beat them.... That means Union City could beat Oak Hill with the way he talks. But Union City got beat up in McCracken Co. so he is quiet now...
SB1976
I thought Hamilton was going to get blown out after watching the first couple of minutes, but they outplayed Oak Hill the rest of the game. A few observations. Although KJ Lawson still plays out of control too much, Todd Day has them playing more as a team than last year. The Lawsons have terrific basketball IQ and are long, but aren't as elite athletically as some players they'll encounter at the next level. Hamilton is more than just the Lawsons - they have some excellent other players. Dwayne Bacon from Oak Hill was the best player on the floor and will make the biggest impact in college (Florida State). Andrew Fleming was a non-factor - don't see him making much of an impact at Iowa, frankly.
matt610
CPA wins vs. Southwind 85-75. In the latest AP poll CPA was #4 in AA, (1. Creek Wood, 2. Haywood, 3. Douglass). Southwind was #2 in AAA (1. Hamilton). Edited January 11, 2015 by matt610
sportsnerd
CPA wins vs. Southwind 85-75. In the latest AP poll CPA was #4 in AA, (1. Creek Wood, 2. Haywood, 3. Douglass). Southwind was #2 in AAA (1. Hamilton). Blackwell -28 points and Campbell 24. Hard to imagine an 8th grader can put up 24 on the #2 team in AAA. With Malik Hicks back at JSS, I see a CPA/JSS finals in the forecast.
