Well 7A took 3 out of 4.  Clarkrange looked good and I wouldn't be surprised if they knocked off Clay Co. tonight.  Was not shocked to see Clay and Jackson Co win their games.  Watertown has laid an egg over the last few weeks and the heart and hustle could only take RBS so far.  Anyone know what happened with the Goodpasture PC game? Just saw the score.

Great game here by both teams.  JC had it but let it slip away at the end.  I think the GP coach has done a great job recruiting in new talent and as long as T$$AA allows the private schools to openly and actively recruit the county schools will always be at a disadvantage.  The kid they brought in from Cookeviile was the best player on their team and the one they brought in from Hendersonville played well tonight.  Good luck to Clay tomorrow!

Most missed walk calls I've ever seen in a single game, for both teams in the JC game. You would think that's one call that would be easy to call. Great game though back and forth. I would love to know how many Turnovers GP had at least 20. Clay county will win by 10 tomorrow!

Hope clay wins tomorrow but they will have to play WAY better than they did tonight. JC and goodpasture were best 2 teams there tonight.

I will start this by saying I did not see the GP vs JC game tonight. I find it funny how two people watching the same game have very different views of the same game. One said both teams were traveling bad an one team had 20 turn overs nothing about that say's best team on the floor tonight to me. I will say Clay possibly had 12 to 15 turn overs and didn't play their best game but hey they will play again tomorrow weather permitting.

You have to be one miserable person.   The only person to blame for Jackson County losing is Jackson County.   You had the game won.   And as far as recruiting goes.....yal's girls coach better be looking for some players, Laken Leonard isn't walking the halls over there right now.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
    • That's a fair line. But if it's not over, that's a big problem.
    • RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.
    • You would think they got a bunch of interest
    • You would think with football just three months away more would be talking. There's only so much a person can say about someone allowing the field to get painted without asking their boss who would have said ((((((((  ALE NO ))))))))) or all the other BULLS#!T they've done as they lead Maryville High into the new age of WOKE in a conversative town. I'm ready for some football news without hearing something coming out of 825 that Power Munger has done to cap off the week.
