I think Westview will be another contender next year. PG is destined for the big time.

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto. There's nothing I've seen more obnoxious than Etown fans. I watched them scream at kids on the court to go home in a boys game in regionals when they were up 30 (I had no dog in the fight). After all the sheep escaped town all they had left was girls basketball and they've directed their pent up frustration at fans from other teams. What comes around generally goes around. I feel sorry for what appears to be a good group of girls to have fans that lack sportsmanship or respect for other teams. You want to see them lose only because of their nasty obnoxious fans. Good luck to anyone who plays them.

Like calling the kettle black and some of the Greeneville fans wrote the book on being obnoxious.

As I said in a previous post, for any fan from Greene County to criticize another school's fans is the epitome of hypocrisy! There were many dynamics involved that night and it was not just Etown fans harassing poor innocent Grainger players. The picture you are trying to paint is absolutely slanted, but I would expect nothing less...

Both teams have fans that go overboard bragging and talking smack about their teams. During football season Greeneville does the talking because they are better than EHS. In girls basketball it is the other way around. I try to tell the truth and I still make some people mad.

Hopefully Elizabethton girls can win 2 more games and if not they lose. It is great to be state champs but when your time on Earth is over rings and how good your team is does not get your name in the book of life.

Westview was ready to play and they played very well. Facing the Cyclones for the fourth time at the 'Boro showed a lot. They executed game tempo perfectly. Much like any finals in any sport, you make it this far in the "play offs" and ALL teams can play.

 

Side note: EVERY team from every school has a few fans that rub people the wrong way. That's why it's called being a "fan" (fanatical) of your team. Many schools have one sport that seems to bring out the best and worst in those fans. It only troubles you if you let it. Please remember this, they're just high school kids playing A GAME! Life is more than just a ball game.

First let me say good job both teams and coaches.

Now, Well that makes twice I've saw them since it was said that I state my opinion off one game. So ummmm.....lol. Call it like I see it.

I'll wait!

Say what you want these girls are a very special and we're proud of them.You have your opinion and that's fine.

      I think Alcoa and Westview are favorites in top bracket and Huntingdon and Meigs in bottom bracket.  Westview and Huntingdon both have great pitching.  I think Huntingdon has more offense than Westview.

      Starting to pick up for Sam. He has 4 or 5 offers now and more on the way. By mid season the Warriors should have 5 or 6 kids with offers.

      Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.

      Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
