TSSAA directive (National Anthem)

Teams have been standing after the national anthem to see who would go to the dugout first.

If it happens now the head coach is confined to the dugout.  

Should also be applied to basketball and coming out to warm up.  Visitors first then home team.

Exactly!! We have coaches that are more worried about "GAMESMANSHIP" than getting their team ready to win the game. This is nothing more than what some rec league coach would do. Do this to one of the good East Cobb teams and you better duck at the high & inside fastball.

I've never heard the national anthem played before any game that any East Cobb team was a part of.

You need to get outside of Georgia when EC makes the finals of some big national tournaments. Go watch the AABC 18U in Farmington, New Mexico and watch what happens before the games.

In HS, restriction of the head coach, then ejection if the "stand off" does not cease.

 

It has happened in college baseball also, head coach is warned then ejected.

 

Very disrespectful in my opinion.

Absolute dumbest thing I've ever heard of in all my years playing and coaching.  I think Coaches should automatically be ejected for allowing this to happen.

I saw Oakland and Riverdale do it. I did not see what was so wrong with it? Just a little fun the kids were having. No danger or anything to it so what's wrong with it?

Not sure how this makes TSSAA a joke.  Be respectful and go play ball.  Blaming the TSSAA is like saying it is the cops fault.
