You're welcome! I believe they are ranked #5 in the AP poll. They have not played a difficult schedule thus far. Hardin Valley is a definite #1.

where is this AP poll you speak of? I haven't seen them ranked in any site. And I agree on Hardin valley. State should be fun there are a lot of very good/good teams

Hardin Valley Academy is definitely the best team in the state in my opinion, and it isn't close. Their match-up with Farragut this Friday will reveal the margin between them and the rest of the pack.

Besides HVA, I think that Science Hill (obviously), Sevier County, and Farragut are up there as well. South Doyle is also underrated... They've got a good team out there.

Agreed as to Hardin Valley ... I'd guess Bearden and Maryville are both probably top 10-15 AAA teams in the state this year and HV made short work of both of them.  District of Death indeed.

Did anyone see OR v Farragut last night?  Was told Farragut won 3-2 scoring last 3 goals but didn't know how game played out.  Have been pretty impressed watching Farragut couple of times but haven't seen OR yet and know some of you guys watch them.

I didn't see it, but from what I heard OR controlled most of the game, but of course ended up losing. From my understanding they lost the game, instead of Farragut just being the better team if that makes sense? ORnole could tell you more.

Man, I would have loved to have seen this game!

Was OR up 2-0 and then Farragut scored the last 3 goals?

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
