They definitely beat sub-par teams. Even in the wins, they looked good though. Scoring was balanced, they were attacking, good defense, etc. Regardless of opponent, they look worse now. I'll get to see the Lady Eagles tomorrow (Monday) at 1:30 and don't know what to expect. Yet again, I'm hoping they play hard. Hopefully an embarrassing loss to Anderson County made them mad.

Lol, The current 7 game win streak by CF includes a 35 point win over Scott Co, and four district wins which include a road win at rival Wartburg. If you had ever played sports you would know a 7 game winning streak is a impressive team accomplishment at any level.

Not trying to take anything away from them but two decent wins out of seven isn't that impressive. The competition during this win streak hasn't been good, Scott is the only team with a winning record that they've beat. The schedule gets tougher after Christmas and I want to see how they do against Harriman before getting too excited about it. Edited by TheMan2015

Oakdale's Macayla Davidson (#10) had to be rushed to the UT Trauma Center during their game vs. Scott County. Fell head first into the court and got knocked unconscious. Had seizures from the impact as well. Definitely scary. She is recovering in the hospital right now. Doing okay though

I hope she is doing well and is able to come home today. Saying a prayer for her.

Did we all just decide to stop posting? Hahaha. How has everybody done over the Christmas break?

Coalfield went 1-2 down at Harriman. Losses to Harriman and Kingston with a win over Rockwood. They didn't play great offensively in any of the three games. I still think they'll have a chance to compete for a district championship. Defensively how far they've came from The Tellico Plains game to now is unreal.

I thought the same thing Gooser.....I guess the holiday kinda slows things down.  I did say how my girls fared at AC.  Lost a heartbreaker to Bell Co. the night after stunning Union Co.  I think we are in a pretty good spot to get healthy and gear up for the second run.  I'm certainly looking forward to it....and see where everyone lands.

Going to rev the motor back up with two road games this week.  Bet the kids have had enough rest for the second run to the end.  I would think they can get things going with Jellico and Sunbright up on Tuesday and Friday.  Then get OS comes to the Tepee for their first meeting with us next Tuesday.  Here we go again.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
